The Pro III LUTs are designed for perfect Rec709 colorimetry and a linearluma curve, placing middle grey (also known as 18% grey) at the 50% IRElevel after the LUT has been applied.
In most cases, this results in the image becoming darker in the shadows, asmanufacturers love to add arbitrary brightness curves to their profiles.This isn’t a bug, and you aren’t losing any image information after LUTapplication. I recommend that you shoot ETTR to maximise your camera’sdynamic range. If you do this, the post-LUT image will always look as itshould in the real world.
Athena III LUTs are a brighter version of Pro III, while retaining the sameperfect colorimetry.
